I Love What I Do!

Do you know what I love? I love waking up each day and heading into Evolved Health Chiropractic – I truly love going to “work.” I love walking into my practice, turning on the lights, tuning in to Pandora and turning the power up for everyone who walks through my doors. Every adjustment is different and special, and I am honored to know that when I deliver an adjustment with love and certainty that I am doing the single most important, impactful thing for that person on that day. I know when they get up from the table, at that very moment, they are the absolute best person they can be. How can you not love that and get charged up from it?! Recently I had a practice member ask me, “how the heck are you so happy all the time?!” I just laughed and said, “I love what I do!”

It’s true too, I absolutely LOVE being a chiropractor; there is truly no better profession out there. I love it more and more each day. I am building my dream practice and get to share principled, straight, pure chiropractic with my community. It is so much fun to see the light bulb go off in people’s head during the orientation, and I love hearing stories of how my member’s lives are improving under chiropractic. I have two young practice members (14 and 16) who talk of going into chiropractic – talk about a compliment! Another member, this one 8, will palpate her mom’s back at night and pretend to be “Dr. Jen”! I love it! I can’t think of a better compliment or honor than someone choosing a career path because of my impact. I have a deep passion for chiropractic, and it shows. People can see it and feel it, and it’s infectious.

I can’t imagine going through life doing something I wasn’t passionate about, what a waste. Mindlessly going through the motions, not feeling important or needed, no challenges, no joy… what’s the point? Draining your energy and life, ugh. I’m so grateful I found my calling in chiropractic; I cannot imagine doing anything else with my life. I know for a fact this is the perfect profession for me. I am reminded of this each and every day by the encounters in my office, talking with other principled chiropractors, reading chiropractic hilosophy, conference calls, watching chiropractic interviews and listening to them through podcasts… All day every day I eat, sleep, breath chiropractic because I LOVE it and am PASSIONATE about it.

I eat, sleep and breath chiropractic because I absolutely love it and I want to share it with everyone! My family sometimes thinks I’m a little nuts with my chiro talk, but when you’re a part of something this wonderful you just can’t help yourself! Have a conversation with me and I can pretty much guarantee chiropractic will come up and be tied in – you can’t stop me! I can’t help it! Chiropractic relates to anything and everything, it’s intertwined with every aspect of life which makes it pretty easy to talk about! More often than not folks will tell me they never realized chiropractic was so involved, or that they had never heard that about chiropractic… Look back on some older posts if you want to find out more about chiropractic, or better yet, ask me directly! You already know I love to talk about it and let others know all the benefits, so give me the chance to share the story with you!

I’d love to sit down with you so you can find out more about chiropractic, what it is, what it isn’t and how you can benefit from regular chiropractic care. Give me a call and we can get you dialed in – you’ve got nothing to lose and abundant life to gain! If you don’t live near me then click here to be redirected to a website full of principled chiropractors like myself who would be more than happy to geek out on chiropractic with you :) Take that next step and take your life to the next level!

Principled Chiropractic

This past weekend I took a little trip to Spartanburg, SC to meet up with other membership chiropractors. It was great to spend some time with other chiropractors who understand true chiropractic at is essence. We talked a lot of chiropractic and refined our analysis and adjusting techniques with a seminar. It was great to see chiropractors who have been practicing from months to decades who are just as dedicated as day one to honing the art of an adjustment.

There’s nothing like being surrounded by other principled, passionate chiropractors who are doing everything in their power to get as many people possible under care and keep our profession pure. Unfortunately there are far too many chiropractors have forgotten, or choose to ignore, what chiropractic is. In an effort to become accepted by the medical community and brainwashed society they have lost their principles, and in essence, lost chiropractic.

It is so crucial that chiropractic strives to remain true and not become mixed in with anything else. What we have is special – there is no alternative to chiropractic, and chiropractic isn’t an alternative to anything else. To say that chiropractic is alternative health care would be like saying dentistry is an alternative to medicine – that doesn’t even make sense. Dentists have a distinct, specialized area of practice, and they stick to that, they become the experts in that. Chiropractors need to do the same. We have a unique offering that is unlike any other profession. It has distinct benefits. BJ Palmer, the developer of chiropractic, once said “the only alternative to chiropractic is living a life of less than full potential.” Many chiropractors view themselves as nothing more than a glorified aspirin, and in turn, shortchange themselves and confuse the public.

Back pain and stiff necks; this is what the public thinks chiropractic is good for. What a shame. Our world is missing out on the greatest life enhancing art. Chiropractic is unparalleled in its offering to human potential. I’m a chiropractor, and I’m incredibly proud of it. I give my practice members the chance to experience more life, to express their full potential, to experience all that life has to offer, to function at their highest capacity. If that isn’t powerful and something to be proud of then I don’t know what is. It’s my goal to spread this message and transform the lives of as many people possible in the process. It’s also my goal to make this as affordable and accessible to as many people possible. How can I put a price and barrier between you and maximal life? Unlimited chiropractic care for one, low monthly investment – doesn’t get much easier than that!

It’s been my experience that the general public has no clue what chiropractic is. I find this pathetic, and I blame it on the profession. People are confused because we haven’t done a good job at explaining it. We haven’t done a good job explaining it because most of the chiropractic profession hasn’t a freaking clue of who they are or what they are doing. They don’t know what chiropractic is because our schools fail to provide the right education. They are teaching medicine to chiropractors, and they are teaching it out of context. Reggie Gold has said that it is a shame that a chiropractic education has become as complicated as a medical education, and I couldn’t agree more.

Think about it, what is a chiropractor supposed to be an expert in? Answer: locating and adjusting vertebral subluxation (spinal misalignment creating nerve interference). I would tack on to that and add the ability to fully communicate what it is that chiropractic does and doesn’t do. Communicate, analyze and adjust – that’s it! Why is it then that chiropractors have to learn how to diagnose TB, diabetes, melanoma and otitis media? Worse yet is that we learn it out of context, from a textbook without ever actually working with an actual patient suffering from these disease conditions. I’m going to be honest and say that I have discarded and will never use at least 80% of what I learned in chiropractic school. Which is too bad because that education was not cheap!

Despite the shortcomings of our chiropractic schools, there are, amazingly, some absolutely fantastic chiropractors in our profession. I’m happy to have met a lot of them and to call them my friends and colleagues. We are committed to our purpose and are united in our efforts to achieve it. I’ve posted a link to a website filled with principled chiropractors dedicated to providing the best chiropractic care and increased life potential for you and your family, and we do that for less than you spend on gas in a couple weeks. Give one of us a call to find out more; we’d love to have the opportunity to explain chiropractic to you and let you decide this is something you want in your life!

From Great to Amazing!

Earlier this week I dropped by my friend’s house, and he just so happens to be a chiropractor. Being a chiropractor tends to ensure you have plenty of chiropractor friends, which is a pretty nice situation to be in! Anyway, I obviously took advantage of the opportunity to get adjusted. I take advantage of the opportunity to get adjusted whenever I can. I get adjusted on a weekly basis, regardless of how I feel – when I feel great I get adjusted, when I feel bad I get adjusted. Simple as that! I recommend you get your spine checked on a weekly basis too, but only if you desire to live life to your fullest potential…

Back to the story: I asked him to adjust me, so he got out his portable table, set it up and turned my power up. I sat up, smiled, took a deep breath and just basked in how awesome I felt. Now, I should note that yes I felt awesome after the adjustment, but I felt fine before the adjustment as well. I still remember the life changing moment for me with chiropractic. It was back before I was even in chiropractic school; I went in for my regular adjustment, and had actually thought of calling to reschedule it that day because I felt great (obviously my chiropractor failed to educate me on what chiropractic is all about, but that’s another story). I went in, got adjusted and went back out to my car. As I was driving away I smiled because I felt absolutely amazing! I remember having this moment where it all clicked and I thought, “this is great – I thought I felt perfect before and now I feel even better! This chiropractic is mind blowing!” Even thinking back on that moment makes me smile; like I said it was an “aha” moment and truly changed my paradigm.

Okay, back to my experience a couple days ago: I got adjusted and said, “I don’t know how people go through life without getting adjusted” and I truly mean that. He agreed and we got into a little conversation about regular chiropractic care, how amazing it is and how we can’t imagine life without it. I can’t remember the last time I went more than 2 weeks without an adjustment. Lately I’ve been getting checked and adjusted twice a week. Every time I get off the table from an adjustment I’m happy and I know that I’ve just done something really great for myself, and that at this moment I am the best me I can be. To be clear, I don’t get adjusted because  I have a sore back or stiff neck, or any other symptom. I get adjusted because it’s a good idea, because it makes sense, I feel better, I sleep better, I perform better and I just enjoy life more when I get adjusted regularly.

I know how important regular chiropractic care is and how much one can benefit from regular adjustments. The more you know about something the more benefit you can get from it. I happen to know a lot about chiropractic (good thing!) and therefore benefit GREATLY from it. I know that by getting my spine checked regularly that my body is better able to handle life’s physical, chemical and emotional stressors. I can adapt more efficiently and readily, my body chemistry is in balance, my structure is balanced, my brain and nervous system can communicate with my body ensuring all my cells are able to coordinate together in harmony and benefit my entire self. Simply put, I can function fully and heal perfectly.

That’s what chiropractic is all about, and that is what chiropractors are trained to do – locate and adjust vertebral subluxation (spinal misalignment causing nerve interference) to restore proper nervous system function so that all the parts of your body can work together in unison thereby allowing you to function and heal as close to 100% as possible. This is why I can’t imagine a life without chiropractic, because I can’t imagine living my life at less than 100%.

Here’s an analogy for those of you who can’t wrap your head around why you would go to a chiropractor if you didn’t have a symptom. Have you ever started to make changes in your life such as eating better, exercising, getting better sleep, etc. and then noticed as you do these things you’re generally healthier, happier, have more energy and feel better? Then you think back to your former self and realize just how crappy you felt and functioned before, and you can’t imagine how you dealt with living that way for that long. You get healthy and all of the sudden realize just how amazing you can function and feel, you start to enjoy life more and it just about blows your mind to think about how you were even living before.

That’s what chiropractic is like. Getting adjusted regularly gets you to that next level and keeps you there, and when you miss an adjustment you notice it. Just like when you miss a workout, get a bad night of sleep, or you eat a crummy meal – when you miss an adjustment after experiencing how amazing life can be then you take notice. If you’ve never had regular chiropractic care before then you don’t know what being your best is; you haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing full life, you’re not living to your full potential.

I get my spine checked at least once a week, so does my mom, so does my sister. If it’s good for us, and we deserve it then it is my belief and philosophy that everyone else deserves it as well. That’s why my practice is set up the way it is – you pay one, low monthly fee for unlimited chiropractic care with no appointments necessary. It doesn’t get much easier than that! So what are you waiting for? There’s no better time than now to take the next step and take your life to the next level with chiropractic – give us a call 704-970-7127 or visit us online at www.ehealthchiro.com to find out how you can become a member, and if you don’t live near us that’s not a problem. Mechanism VS Vitalism

There are two philosophies when it comes to healthcare: mechanism and vitalism. Our “healthcare” system today is a mechanistic model, and this model basically says everything must be scientifically proven and evidence based. It says everything can be taken and compartmentalize and anatomized; that we are more or less just parts. For example, love is just a chemical reaction in our body; a cascade of hormones – nothing more and nothing less.

Medical doctors practice this way as well as what I like to call medical chiropractors. This mechanistic model is just an equation and the formula looks like this:

Diagnose —– Treat —— Symptom Resolution = Health

To these folks no symptoms equals health. We both know this is not true. We’ve all heard of the person who was healthy and felt great one day only to drop dead of a heart attack the next day. Or a person who was feeling great and went in for their annual exam and found out they had cancer. No symptoms does not mean health. Conversely, having symptoms does not necessarily mean you are unhealthy. Say you go to a restaurant and order chicken, and later that night you are puking your guts out because you have food poisoning. This is your body’s healthy reaction to get rid of those toxins.

This mechanistic side is controlled by money; money from third party payers like insurance. Insurance companies do not care about your health. If they did they would pay for running shoes, gym memberships, farm fresh meats and produce, yoga classes, etc. They don’t care about your health; what they care about is their money. Insurance companies are contractually obligate to pay for treatment until your symptoms are gone – that’s it. Conversely, medical doctors and medical chiropractors are contractually obligated to provide treatment to the point of no symptoms.

Medical doctors and medical chiropractors figured out that equation, and figured out that by plugging things into that equation they could access the big pool of insurance money. And let me tell you, there is a LOT of money in that insurance pot – a lot of money. In order to access that money these doctors must diagnose – they must put a name on symptoms so they have something to treat. Because while insurance won’t pay for health they will pay a lot of money for treatment.

Principled, straight chiropractors practice under the vitalistic health model. Without getting too complicated vitalism means that we recognize the fact that you are more than the sum of your parts. You can take every bone, muscle, tissue, organ and gland in the body and catalog, anatomize and categorize them, but there will still be something else, something that organizes these, directs, controls and coordinates them. We recognize a universal intelligence.

Universal intelligence is the thing that ensures the computer you are reading this on will always remain a computer and will never become a giraffe. The sun is where it is, the earth is where it is, the moon is where it is, and everything is exactly as it should be or we wouldn’t be here to write or read this post. Just as there is this universal intelligence there is also an intelligence inside your body that directs and controls it’s function, health and life. Chiropractors call this innate intelligence and we believe innate intelligence resides in your brain and nervous system. I will explain why.

We all started as two very small cells: the egg cell and the sperm cell. These two cells joined and formed one cell which then grew and multiplied exponentially until it resembled a black berry. Once it his this point a portion of it changed and differentiated. A dent forms on one side of this mass of cells, this dent is what scientists call the primitive streak and it will go on to form the first organ in the human body. It always fascinates me as a chiropractor to know that the first organ to form is the brain and spinal cord. I wondered why this was so I looked it up in medical literature and found that the brain and spinal cord are the first to form because they are the master control system which will direct and control all other systems of the body from that point through the rest of life. And then, without any input from scientists, doctors, chiropractors or physicians this little speck of life somehow knows how to form a perfect human being, and in 280 days innate intelligence has done its job and a perfect human being is born.

Your brain contains life giving electrical energy and sends these nerve impulses down your spinal cord, out the nerves and to every cell in your body, and the body sends signals back up to the brain. These nerve impulses are the difference between your living body and a corpse. Now, since your brain is so vital to life your body has designed a way to protect it, so it is encased in your skull. At the base of you skull is a hole called the foramen magnum, and through this hole your brain travels down into your body as the spinal cord. Since it is just as important down in your body as it is up in your head, your body has designed a way to protect it here. Your spinal cord, made up of millions and millions of nerve fibers, is surrounded by the 24 moveable vertebra that make up your spine. Your spine serves to protect this vital nerve tissue while allowing for motion and mobility. In between each pair of vertebra there is a small opening where nerve fibers branch off the spinal cord and travel all throughout your body carrying that electric life power to all your cells.

When your brain and nervous system are able to send signals to your body without interference then you will function and heal at 100%. What can happen is one or more of these vertebra can become misaligned which causes interference in the transmission of nerve impulses between your brain and your body. Chiropractors call this a vertebral subluxation. Subluxation robs your body of this nerve energy and therefore decreases health and life in your body. If you cut the nerve supply to any organ it will die, but your body is smart and has made it so most of your organs receive multiple nerve supplies. So, if  you have a subluxation to your heart it won’t kill it, but it will cut the power down to it. Now you have a heart that’s working at perhaps 85%, and while you may not notice it now, over time it will take its toll.

Subluxations occur due to common, everyday activities such as CrossFit, sleeping in a weird position, stress, anxiety, eating crappy food, poor posture, and so on. Subluxations can occur and you may not even know it! I’m a chiropractor and I don’t even know if I have subluxation right now that’s robbing my organs of the ability to function fully!Chiropractors are the only professionals trained to locate and correct subluxation, thereby restoring the connection between your brain and body and allowing your innate intelligence to express itself at 100%.

This is why I tell people I want to be their chiropractor until one of us dies, and that we should be adjusted from womb to tomb. Often our first subluxation occurs at birth! Think about it, have you ever seen a baby being born? It’s enough all right! Kids fall down all the time, and while falling off their trike at age three won’t give them a heart attack from a subluxation right then, running around for 20, 30, 40 years with a heart working at 85% sure will!

The only thing that removes subluxation and turns your power back up is a chiropractic adjustment. Subluxations slowly cut down the power in your body and decrease your health and life. Adjustments remove this interference, and gradually, over time will turn the power back up and allow your body to do what it was made to do – function fully and heal perfectly. Each adjustment brings you closer to 100%, and who wouldn’t want that?

So who should be adjusted, and when? If you’ve read this far you should know the answer is everybody and right NOW! Nobody in their right mind would want to walk around with a subluxation cutting power off to their organs. Don’t wait until you are sick to get care, get in now and experience all that life has to offer! Evolved Health Chiropractic is set up so that you and your family can receive regular chiropractic care that is affordable and accessible. One, low monthly fee gets you unlimited chiropractic care with no appointments necessary. It’s 100% chiropractic so you can express 100% life.

Reggie Gold

Recently chiropractic lost a great man who has helped to shape many a chiropractor, and as a result, the chiropractic profession. Arguably regarded as the master on principled chiropractic and chiropractic philosophy, Reggie Gold has helped to shape me in so many ways. Sadly, on March 24th of this year Reggie passed away. He will be greatly missed by many, but his teachings, principle and philosophy will go on forever. Straight chiropractors all over the world will keep his spirit alive by staying true to the profession and by spreading the message and teachings Reggie instilled in us. The following are two videos of Reggie Gold giving a lay lecture on chiropractic. I can’t tell you how many times I have watched these videos, and they are just as good the 100th time as they are the 1st! Please ignore the impressive mutton chops and listen to the message – I know if you do you will be as impressed with his simple elegance as I always am. I love you Reggie – thank you for being YOU!

Choose Health, Choose Life, Choose Chiropractic!

Chiropractic isn’t really about treating or curing anything, but rather allowing your body to do what it was made to, and that is to function fully and heal perfectly. Chiropractic does this by removing interference in your nervous system caused by vertebral subluxation. Subluxation is a term used by chiropractors to describe a misaligned vertebrae causing disturbance between how your brain and body communicate with one another.
You literally live your life through your nervous system. Everything we see, hear, taste, smell and feel is because your body detects stimuli in your environment, sends signals up the brain, your brain processes the information, sends it back to your body and allows you to experience life! When your nervous system is able to do this freely you are able to function fully, operate with ease, express health and generally feel good. If there is disturbance in this pathway, then you cannot function fully, you operate with dis-ease, express ill-health and generally don’t feel well. Chiropractors are trained to locate and correct subluxation that is causing nerve disturbance which allows you to experience all that life has to offer!
The bottom line is this: if you are not seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis then you are not doing all you can and should for your health, and ultimately, your life. Be proactive and take back control of your life and health. Remember when you choose health, you choose life, so choose chiropractic!

Beliefs on Health

A paradigm shift can be defined as a moment where you come to the realization that something you once thought to be true is not, and as a result has led you to change your beliefs. This is a huge break through and can be a life changing moment. I have personally undergone many paradigm shifts throughout my life, but the most profound have been in regards to health. This has led me to become a chiropractor, and it is one of my missions in life to change my community’s paradigm as it pertains to health.

For far too long we have been led to believe that health is something not fully in our control, and that sickness and disease come from outside of us. I call the current view on health care in this country the sickness and disease paradigm. I have a health and wellness paradigm which I try to explain to others in hopes of creating a life changing paradigm shift within them.

It all stems from our beliefs which we learn from our environments and the people in them: parents, teachers, preachers, the media, big pharma, etc. These beliefs, whether they are true or not, dictate our behavior. We behave, we act, in a manner that is in line with our beliefs. As a result these behaviors dictate our results and these results, in turn, confirm our beliefs. It can be thought of as a triangle loop (I can’t get lines in my picture for this post sadly… but you get the idea!)

Behavior

Belief                           Result

I believe that the brain and nervous system control every process in our body by sending messages through the spinal cord and nerves out to every cell in our body. I believe that interference in the nerve system via a misaligned vertebra (subluxation) results in decreased function, or decreased health. I believe chiropractors are the only trained professionals to find and correct subluxation. I believe that to attain optimal health and function it is crucial to be adjusted by your chiropractor on a regular basis.

I believe that health comes from within us, and that sickness and disease is merely the lack of, or absence of, health. Just as darkness is the absence of light. Just as cold is the absence of heat. Since I believe health comes from within I behave accordingly by getting adjusted regularly, avoiding stress, eating nourishing foods, exercising and getting quality sleep. As a result I am extremely healthy – I have energy, I am happy, I am fit and I love life! These results further confirm my belief that health comes from within.

If I had the opposite belief, that my health is not in my direct control, and that sickness and disease come from some outside force then I would behave by not taking care of my body. I would eat fast food and processed foods, I wouldn’t work out, I wouldn’t get adjusted regularly and I would stay up late. As a result I would be stressed, tired, groggy, out of shape, lack energy and possibly have headaches, digestive problems, depression, anxiety, heart disease, diabetes… the list goes on and on.

So, my question to you is: what do you believe? Do you believe that you are ultimately in control of your health? Do you believe that your brain and nervous system are the most important organs in your body? Do you believe that interference to this nerve system can lead to a decrease in life and health? Do you believe that getting adjusted regularly ensures every cell in your body is communicating properly with your nerve system resulting in vibrant health? I know I do, and it shows – I encourage you to take a moment to think about your beliefs and challenge them. Your life depends on it.

Chiropractic

Today I want to revisit and discuss something that is near and dear to my heart and my life. Something that is greatly misunderstood yet a concept so easy to comprehend that I believe everyone can be and should be informed about. I am talking about chiropractic and its role in true and total health. Chiropractic has remained relatively unaltered since its birth over 100 years ago when DD Palmer delivered the first chiropractic adjustment in Iowa. In that same 100 years the medical model has changed drastically. Just 100 years ago it was still common to use leaching as a treatment; for those of you who don’t know what leaching is it is the practice of placing leaches on the body in hopes they would suck the bad blood out. So how is it that in the same 115+ years medicine has changed so much while chiropractic has remained unaltered? The answer to that question lies in the different philosophies of the two practices. Medicine is about disease and dying whereas chiropractic is about health and living. Where medicine focuses on disease from an outside in approach, chiropractic sees health from an inside out viewpoint. It is not my intent to bash the medical profession here, I just wanted to outline the differences in philosophy between the two professions so you all understand where I am coming from.

The body is designed with an inborn ability to maintain itself in a state of proper function. In other words it has the ability to function fully and heal perfectly when given the opportunity to do so. Think about it – your body is able to take food, break it down and reassemble it into living tissue, heal cuts and bruises, adapt to environmental changes and produce the chemicals needed to perform every bodily function. That is absolutely amazing, and it all goes on within us mostly unnoticed.

Did you know that the brain and spinal cord are the very first structures to form in a fetus? Once the brain and spinal cord are formed, organs form starting with those closest to the brain. Thereby, the brain and the nervous system are the primary tools by which we attain proper function, or what we commonly call health. Every cell in the body depends upon messages carried to and from the brain in order to function in a coordinated manner so that each part can benefit the whole of the body thereby producing a full and abundant life.

Knowing the brain and nervous system are the most critical component to full health we can deduce that any interference in the nerve system reduces the body’s ability to function to its fullest. Even slight pressure or damage to the delicate and vital nerve system can reduce the body’s ability to function in a coordinated manner. A study done in the American Journal of Physiology showed that it only takes the weight of a dime to decrease nerve transmission; that’s about the same amount of pressure you get if you close your eye and press with your finger until you can feel it on your eyeball.

Due to the fact that your brain and nervous system are so crucial to health and life your body has designed a way to protect these delicate structures. Your brain is protected by your skull and your spinal cord is protected by your spine. A spinal misalignment that interferes with the nerve system, which we chiropractors call a subluxation, creates a reduction in full function. Slight subluxations, or misalignments, caused by every day, normal activities can interfere with the ability of the nerve system to carry messages that are necessary for the successful accomplishment of those everyday activities, including maximal health.

Chiropractors are the only professionals who are trained to located and correct vertebral subluxations. The single objective of a chiropractor is to remove subluxation so that every person is able to express life at a higher level.

It’s as simple as that! Your body is designed to function fully and heal perfectly, the brain and nerve system are the primary means by which we attain proper function and health, that any interference in the nerve system reduces the body’s ability to function fully and heal perfectly, that a spinal subluxation that interferes with the nerve system creates a reduction in health, and lastly, that chiropractors are the only people trained to find and correct vertebral subluxations. Long story short, if you are not currently seeing a chiropractor regularly, then you are not doing all you could and should for your life and your health. I hope I have conveyed my message clearly and I hope I have inspired you to take action and take control of your life and health by getting regular chiropractic adjustments.

Why Chiropractic?

Because your brain is the most important organ in your body
And your brain communicates with your body via the spinal cord and nerves branching off it
The brain, spinal cord and nerves make up the nervous system – and the nervous system is the master control center for every function in your body
From you heart beat, lungs breathing, GI tract digesting, muscles contracting…

Because chiropractors are trained to locate and remove interference in the nervous system (subluxation)
Which gives you the nerve flow needed to function and survive
And a properly functioning nervous system allows the body to carry out functions fully and heal perfectly
This gives you a chance to live life to your optimal capacity
Optimal function = Health!

So chiropractic allows you the chance to fully function, heal perfectly and live a life in optimal health!

So my question to you is… Why NOT Chiropractic?!

Chiropractic and Health

Chiropractic and health go hand in hand; I have found that many people don’t truly understand chiropractic and the philosophy behind it, so I am going to provide a little insight.
The job of a chiropractor is to find and correct spinal subluxations. What’s that?! Subluxation is a term used to describe a vertebra that is out of place and putting pressure on a nerve. You see, your brain is the master control center for every function in your body. It communicates with your body via the spinal cord and the nerves branching off from it. Nerves travel to every single cell, tissue and muscle in your body. This is how your brain can send information to, and receive information from your body. When this communication is able to happen without interference you have perfect function and perfect function equals health.
Let’s say you have a subluxation, a vertebra out of place, and it is interfering with that communication pathway. The brain can’t communicate with that cell, tissue or muscle and it begins to lose its function. Eventually that tissue will become dysfunctional and disease can result.

By finding and correcting subluxation, chiropractic simply allows your body the opportunity to operate at its peak potential. By removing interference your brain and nervous system is able to communicate with your body and in turn your body is able to carry out functions properly. Chiropractic does not treat any disease, it’s the power within you and your body’s innate ability to heal and perform optimally that keeps you healthy if given the chance.

When you think about it, it just makes sense to get adjusted. I know I perform better without subluxation, and I know every person on this earth can perform better when subluxation free. It’s not the end all, be all to health – you still have to eat right, exercise and avoid stress, but if you just give your body a chance it will take care of you. Just think about it.
